left Basil at 8 am, stopped in Lucern for breakfast. Lake Lucern is so beautiful with mountains in the back. White swans and ducks swimming in clear water. we found a nice bakery and cafe to have breakfast, the girls got quiches and pretzels etc...to be ready for the Alps.
The rain started to come down when we entered the Alps, but we decided to take the scenic winding road, 15 kilometers up the Alps. The visibility was less than 20 feet. We were in the clouds, 10,000+ feet high, I felt ok because I could not see anything but clouds and some headlight....The view was spectacular!
We got into Lugano, Swiss an hour later. The Lake Lugano was another must see lake....one hour later we got to Lake Como to have dessert.
